Student Support Services Program (SSSP)

 

Mission of the SSSP

“Increase academic success by providing students and families with educational, personal, and social support in a safe learning environment.”

 

Welcome to Calero High School’s Student Support Center.

 

The Student Support Center (SSC) is staffed by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, School Psychologist and Mental Health Intern. The SCC staff works collaboratively with staff at the school site and District office.

 

The SSC provides a number of free and confidential* services to the school community including:

 

  • Mental Health Counseling Services
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Case Management
  • Attendance and Truancy Services
  • Family Support
  • Linkage to School and Community Resources
  • Collaboration with School Personnel
  • Teacher Assistance with Academic and Behavioral Support Plans
  • Development and Facilitation of Wellness Prevention and Intervention Programs/Activities.

 

*Some services may require parental consent

When should I refer a student to the Student Support Center?

A student should be referred for support when the student show’s signs of social and/or emotional difficulties which are interfering with the student’s success at school.

 

Who can refer?

Any person in the student’s life, including the student themselves, can make a referral.

 

How do I refer?

Referral forms will be sent directly to the School Social Worker. Paper referral forms are also available in the main office.
